El Segundo Rotary Today January 26, 2012

If you missed this week's meeting you're in the miniority; we had 28 Rotarians this week to listen to Hailey Hansen (Mini Marsha) talk about the wild fires in Texas that affected her cousin and aunt; Marissa and Marla Stacy. Hailey presented a powerpoint that was a very graphic depection of the fires and the devastation to the homes in Texas. I can't leave out Logan Hansen; he was very entertaining even though it did not have a formal presentation he managed make himself know.  Once again the Hacienda Hotel stepped up and helped Hailey with her project of sending care packages to the students in Texas that were affected by the fires; thanks for everything you do Joe Harding.  Thanks to Dickie Van Breene for providing the raffle prizes for today's meeting. It was nice to see Lily Craig, Ed Su, Wayne (Wammo) Mularz, Mike Briney and Julie Stolnack  today. You know it was a good meeting because Jeff Donahue stayed until the end.

Speaking of Joe Harding; we had a new Paul Harris Fellow inducted today........Szofia Harding became the newest member of the Paul Harris Society, way to go Szofia.  Szofia has an audition later today for a television commercial; everyone think good thoughts for her.  Chris Powell was also presented his Ruby pin for the PHF +6; way to go Chris.
