The Meeting

In the beginning there was chaos.  Lots of strange faces coming and going.  The Supreme Commander at the helm watching the room fill up and wondering who all these divergent people were.  Debbi Terell’s husband (the Turtle Saver) came without Debbie and wanted to make sure everything was OK at the Mother Ship.

We had a guest named Makela  (from Florence, Italy)  she was a guest of Coleen (who wasn't there and we we weren't sure who she was either), but….she had a guest.  In essence she was a guest of a guest who wasn't there.    She was pretty, and Kevin being such a kind person who has an affinity for young attractive women, invited her to sit with him.  What a trooper that Kevin is.  Later her friend (Coleen…see above) “did”  arrive and also sat with Kevin;  the Fire Chief;  the Single Fire Chief.   The “"Starched”  Fire Chief,  in uniform, ready to save us in case we self immolate.   He didn't introduce her but I think she was from the Marriot.  He didn't care.

Sandy Jacobs then introduced her brother.   I have met him before and he is very sharp and politically smart.  They are from good stock.  Then Melissa introduced Jason Chang who was a visiting Chiropractor from Alberta Canada,  who was just traveling home after a stay in Bora Bora and thought he would stop by our Rotary Meeting.  Of course he would.   We all do that on our way home from Bora Bora.  (Why are there two Bora’s)

Then Joe introduced the Speaker  from  ONEHOPE (who was Elyse’s guest),  but she wasn't there either.  She brought wine for everyone and was invited to stay and come back.  Her name was Adriana McMahon .  It probably still is her name.  It doesn't matter.  She brought wine.

Bill introduced us all to his favorite daughter.   She didn't bring wine, she brought Bill, who drinks wine.

Audrey and her son came to visit and Sammy joined her later.  It is nice to see them together in the same room.  They bring Energy and have bright eyes.

Kevin got nervous sitting next to two pretty women and decided to sell Raffle tickets, and to show his “take charge” macho man side “with compassion “ that so many women find attractive.   He was still “starched”.

Dave Rieman pinch hit for Laura (this month’s Joke Teller) and talked about his cousin Dermott and the Pope and a Lawyer going to heaven.  A Lawyer in Heaven is very unusual.

Joe didn't do any fining (What?);  no birthday’s or anniversaries, and nothing seemed to be “typical” at this meeting .   Even a phone went off and it wasn't Sheila’s, go figure.  She was next  to the phone that went off however and it took her a second to realize it wasn't her’s.  Everyone was surprised and so was she.  Tom gave her credit for the phone going off since she was "next" to it.  It is kind of like perfect attendence at meetings.  You don't want to break the streak, so Sheila is still perfect.  It turned out to be Bills daughters phone (or maybe it was Bills and she was keeping it).  It was either Julia or Bill’s bookie.

Sammy talked about Community Wellness day which he has thus far done one heck of a job as far as I can see.  It sounds like a great day.

Tom organized the Chaos as he went along and was in control at all times.  He is indeed the Supreme Commander.  Commander of Chaos.
