Happy Hour at Flemings
This week a few Rotarians met up at Fleming's Steak House in El Segundo for happy hour. What a great restaurant! Big thank you to Miranda Bopp for reserving a spot for us on the patio. 
 
Meeting Overview 6/13/19

Great meeting today learning about Antarctica from John Stabile! Fun fact, Metallica once performed a concert there called “Freeze ‘Em All.” 

We also got to hear more about Chance, our 1st Place scholarship recipient from El Segundo High School! So deserving! 

We missed our Jack, so we called him up and left him on speaker phone for part of the meeting. 

And Happy Birthday to Owen and Melissa!

4th of July Watermelon Eating Contest
Stop by Rec Park for a little 4th of July fun! El Segundo Rotary will be hosting a timed watermelon eating contest featuring prizes for first, second and third places for the following divisions:
Boys - Ages 6-8, Girls - Ages 6-8
Boys - Ages 9-11, Girls - Ages 9-11
Boys - Ages 12-15, Girls - Ages 12-15
Come join us for a watermelon treat and celebrate the 4th!
We are looking for prizes from the community and local businesses to give to each winner. Do you have something cool and kid friendly that you would like to donate? If so, please send us an email and let us know at info@elsegundorotary.org.

Rebecca Bergin

Rebecca is a finance, marketing and business strategy expert. After 15 years financing businesses on behalf of banks and private equity companies, she saw a huge demand from small businesses that needed corporate-level expertise. She founded 4 Oranges in 2017 and now acts as a CEO-for-hire consulting small businesses on corporate strategy.

Rebecca holds an MBA from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. In addition to business and academic endeavors, Rebecca sits on the boards of 3 local nonprofits and can frequently be found volunteering in the community.
