President's Message
Hi, my name is Shannon Magid, and I am totally excited to serve as President of the El Segundo Rotary Club for 2026-2027. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 75 years of Rotary service in El Segundo. For three quarters of a century, our club has been dedicated to living Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self", while making a lasting impact in our community. I am honored to help carry that legacy forward.
I believe serving our community should be FUN! When you combine meaningful service with genuine friendship & laughter, amazing things happen, and that's exactly what I hope to celebrate this year. It's an incredible privilege to live in the wonderful city of El Segundo and to volunteer alongside people who are passionate about making a difference. Whether we're funding teacher mini-grants, awarding scholarships, funding clean water projects across the globe, or working towards Rotary's mission of eradicating Polio, every act of service helps make our community stronger. Knowing that we're improving lives one project at a time is what inspires me every day.
One of the greatest gifts Rotary has given me is a circle of friends who share the same values of kindness, generosity, and service. Together "we have fun & get it done"and continue a 75 year tradition of giving back to the city & world we love. I would love invite you to join us for a meeting or service project. Come celebrate our 75th Anniversary with us and see why we're known as the FUN club and discover how rewarding it is to make a difference while building lifelong friendships!
